GETTING HERE

vancouverisland.jpeg

01

FLY INTO PORT HARDY

Flying from Vancouver into Port Hardy via Pacific Coastal you let us know your schedule and we’ll have the airport shuttle service there to meet and greet you. They’ll bring you to Coal Harbour where we’ll meet you by boat and bring you to the lodge.

02

FLY INTO COMOX

If you live in any other part of Canada, we recommend taking either Air Canada or  WestJet to Comox and rent a car there. It is a short drive (about 3.5 hours). The drive is lovely with a great chance to spot elk, deer, and bear along the way. If you are driving, look for the wooden three bears sign that welcomes you to Port Hardy. Then follow the road signs and take the next left on Coal Harbour Road. It’s 15 minutes to the government wharf and we'll find you there.

DRIVE

If you have the time and are driving, then the Nanaimo ferry is your ticket. It is a 4.5 hour drive from Nanaimo to Coal Harbour.

04

FLOAT PLANE

For the adventurous type; the local company AIRCAB will pick up folks in Comox or Campbell River and take them by float plane right to our dock. Let us know if you want more details on this unique opportunity. It is really something else to see Quatsino Sound by float plane.

SHUTTLE OR DRIVE YOURSELF FROM COMOX

Why not get a driver? Kevin East of Ambassador Shuttle Service out of Comox offers a very personalized and amazingly affordable shuttle service from Comox to Coal Harbour and he’ll come back and get you too.

And really, why not just rent a vehicle and drive yourself? There are many rental options in Comox including Budget and Avis.  Just remember to get a vehicle large enough for you to return with your fish.  Economy size vehicles don't always accommodate fish boxes.
