Blondy is your go-to person for everything at the lodge as well as heading up the kitchen.  She loves cooking, gardening, kayaking and beach combing.  This year she got a metal detector so look out meteorites!

Walter and Blondy are really happy to have Samantha return for a part time summer job with us.  It has been several years since Sam was here at the lodge but many of you will remember her perpetually smiling face and great fish efficiency.  And she is of course our daughter so it is nice to get to spend time with her again.

My name is Breanna Goffman. I was born and raised on Hornby Island and have always had a great appreciation for the outdoors. I have a background in graphic design and customer service in the screen print business but spend my free time hiking, camping, fishing, cycling, and exploring Vancouver Island. I am looking forwards to working with all the wonderful people at Quatsino again this year!

Many of you remember Hannah from the past three years.  She has been a hard working member of our team each summer when she gets out of school.  This will be Hannah’s last summer with us as she is off to university and she will be working only 1 month (july).  We are happy to have her even for part of the time.

My name is Nico Matheson. I will be 18 years old, returning for my third summer at the lodge.

My name is Evan Black. I am 16 years old and currently attending Highland Secondary in Comox.

Justin was hired mid summer 2018 and enjoyed it so much he is back for a repeat performance this summer.  Justin is going to be studying heavy duty mechanics this fall at UVIC.  He’ll be working on the dock and in the house.  He loves to chat fishing.

Hello my name is Rachel Toth I have known Blondy and Walter even since I was little, I’ve always wanted to work at their lodge and now I have the pleasure to do so. I’m very excited to work for them.
"It is true.  We first met Rachel when she was a tiny (and very chatty) child working her Dad’s booth at the Edmonton Sportsmand show.  She has been asking every year if she could come to work for us.  This year when she showed up she didn’t ask.  So I asked her.  We are very pleased to welcome Rachel to the lodge family."

Ty-ee has had one jump too many and has spent the last few months recuperating from knee surgery.  Stairs and dock ramps, being what they are, he has decided to hang out with Blondy’s auntie for the balance of the summer till his Doctor says he can come back to work.  His mat still resides in the place of honour by the door and with any luck he will be filling it come August.

I just want to thank you for the great time we had at the Quatsino Lodge. You are truly great hosts. Please thank Terry, Sarah, Ian, Keith and all the staff for making us feel at home. I know Bill was a bit of a curmudgeon at times, but deep down, he really treasured the trip. He wouldn't have been able to handle the open boats from the old days.

I'd like to especially thank Sarah for guiding us up to the Marble river. It was truly beautiful. And, thanks to Terry for riding through Bill's complaining.

I want to thank you again for your hospitality, and we'll be back soon.
