For the outdoor enthusiast there is no end of activities available. These include beach combing, hiking, wildlife viewing, bird watching, trout fishing, lake swimming, and sight seeing by boat or float plane. We have a museum and in the summer there is an art camp for children. And kids are particularly fond of fishing off our dock in the afternoons for Dogfish, Ratfish, and the odd Coho salmon. It is always particularly fun when the local tame deer come around to be hand fed by visitors.
And if you are into caving, most of the 1,000+ known caves on Vancouver Island are found in the Quatsino Formation limestone deposits. The area is home to the Devil's Bath, the Disappearing River, and the Eternal Fountain to name a few. For the prospector there is much to offer as well and rock hounds simply love the different rock formations to be discovered in the sound. For further information please contact us.
I never had a chance to thank you, Walter and all the crew. The trip was very special and each and every father son pairing/group thanked me as this was special for each of us and this was truly high quality time spent together (for everything else there's Master Card). I am planning on returning next year and appreciate you saving the dates for us. Have a wonderful season the rest of the year and we look forward to visiting again next July.
Other activities on Vancouver Island
We depart daily from Campbell River, the gateway to the Island’s unique wildlife sightings: watch awe-inspiring, giant killer whales breach high out of the water, follow playful dolphins and swift porpoises or observe majestic grizzly bears hunt for salmon. We operate our tours with respect to the pristine coastal environment and its animals, and our passionate guides will add the icing to your experience of a life time! Our boats are closed, heated and feature full washrooms to make your trip as comfortable as you could wish for! WIR SPRECHEN DEUTSCH!
